Early summer in San Antonio has brought us the gift of rain! We've had a severe drought, but things have changed! With the rains, the creeks and green grasses and landscapes have returned. A welcome change! I'm paying tribute to the "wet stuff" with my new landscape paintings. The featured painting here is entitled:
Skyway Meditation, an 8x10 pastel landscape painting inspired by a hike and bike ride at San Antonio's Phil Hardberger Park. The skyway is a part of the new land bridge at the park, and it gives a great view!
I started a Walking Club over a year ago, and we meet every Tuesday morning. We mostly hike the local parks and greenway trails. It's great exercise, and it allows all of us to enjoy each other's company and the outdoors. This spring we have ventured outside of our neighborhood. We visited Denman Park and Cathedral Park. Another of my new landscape paintings was inspired by Cathedral Rock Park--Culebra Creek Crossing.
